Another class from Linda Womack

May 1st, 2009

My friend, Virginia and I just took an evening workshop from Linda Womack.  We learned the crackle method, it was way frickin’ cool.  Both Virginia and i are really excited to incorporate that technique into our work.  Linda is a wonderful teacher and I highly recommend anyone who wants to learn about encaustic painting & techniques to take her classes.

SE Area ARTWalk 2009

March 7th, 2009

Being my first year in the SE Area ARTWalk, it couldn’t have been better.  I was in a wonderful space with 6 other talented and fun artists.  We had a wide variety of work on display and we all were thrilled at the number of folks that came out to enjoy the show.  I am happy to say that 3 of my larger paintings now have new homes and it makes me really happy to know that they will be looked at all the time.  Bonita Davis was next to me and had one of her best years ever in the SE ARTWalk.

Happy New Year!

January 6th, 2009

I am looking forward to a new year, to create new paintings, to enjoying new adventures with my friends and family.  Currently I am in Salt Lake City for my dad’s 75th birthday and my nieces 6th birthday.  I am excited to get home and start painting.

My first art event of the year will be:

2009 SE Area ARTWalk

10-5pm both days

You can check out the link at www.seportlandartwalk.com.   I will have a bunch of new work and maybe a new booth display.  This will be my first year in this event.  I will update more info later regarding the details.  Smile and enjoy the moment! Peace.

Cabin Fever

December 22nd, 2008

Benny decided to do some work at home!

Snow, Snow and more SNOW! It is crazy how much snow!

December 22nd, 2008

It is Monday and Bill is home working along with Virginia and me. Bill keeps saying how this is unbelievable and it is pretty darn crazy for Portland city limits.  It is the most snow that I have ever seen here.  We are fortunate to have our 4 wheel drive truck and can still get around very easily. We will venture out today on our snowshoes to go get coffee and enjoy the beautiful scenery.  Enjoy the moment! The dogs are having fun in the snow. Tucker loves to push the tennis ball into the snow and dig it out. Benny still is chasing the squirrels and Bailey is usually watching unless Benny steals Tuckers ball and then the chase begins with all three.  Have fun, relax and stay warm.   Peace and Happy Holidays

Who won a free painting? The winners are….

August 27th, 2008

The weather turned out to be  a pretty decent at the Tualatin Crawfish Festival, better then the 100 degree heat at the Brew-n-Art Show.  The heat didn’t deter folks from enjoying the show and buying art!  I had a drawing at each event to win a little painting I made.  The winner from the Tualatin Crawfish Festival was Tessa Brookhart and Dee Rommel won from the Brew-n-Art show in Tigard.  Here I am in my booth with Larry and Debbie Nelson.  Virgina Parks shared and showed her work with me in the booth.img_1241.jpg
